Abstract
From 2007 to 2011, 1 559 specimens of 87 Pentatomomorpha species belonging to 11 families were collected from Kunming, Yunnan Province in China. Of them, the most species and largest number groups were Pentatomidae (604 specimens of 29 species) and Coreidae (613 specimens of 27 species). The dominant species were also found in Pentatomidae and Coreidae, with 8 and 5, respectively. The lowest species groups were Plataspidae and Tingidae, with only one species, respectively. The diversity of pentatomomorpha species, genera, and families were comprehensively evaluated using Shannon-Wiener index and G-F index. The results indicated that Pentatomidae had the highest biodiversity, evenness index, and dominance index andstability of populative structure, followed by Coreidae, Plataspidae and Tingidae. Pentatomomorpha had high biodiversity and species richness index in Kunming area. Its community structure was relatively stable.
