Abstract
The rural areas around big cities are one of the most obvious areas where urban and rural resources flow out in one direction. Chuzhou, located in the core area of Nanjing metropolitan area, is a typical rapid urbanization area. Taking 77 administrative villages in Chuzhou as an example, this paper selects natural factors, ecological factors, economic factors, social factors and traffic factors to build the evaluation index system of rural residential land suitability in rapid urbanization area. Based on the Entropy TOPSIS model, this paper studies the suitability of rural residential land, and puts forward the zoning control strategy. The results show that: the suitability of rural settlements in the study area is at a high level as a whole, showing a suitable pattern of “high in the West and low in the East, high in the north and low in the South” . By adopting differentiated control strategies, we can correctly guide the planning and layout of rural residential areas and scientifically study and judge the consolidation potential, so as to provide some reference for local village planning and land consolidation.
