Abstract: Through the reflection on the development status quo and dilemma of our countrys adult higher education, the article holds the view that with Chinas transition in economic and social development and mass education transforming into popularization education, to adapt to and to promote economic and social development, and to realize its own good development, adult higher education needs the following reform: repositioning itself and the government should play full role of macro-control; quality assurance system should be established and perfected and the running behavior of adult higher education should be regulated; we should introduce market mechanism, alter-managing mode, allocate education resources reasonably and constantly, optimize adult higher education resources; open enrolling should be taken to set up lifelong education flyover; funds investment should be increased to enhance public welfare of adult higher education.
