Abstract: This essay studies the problem that ancient literature of China has been influenced by west philosophy. West essentialism built on the philosophical concept of idea,substance and essence, which invaded our country in the late 19 century. The history of ancient Chinese literature was obviously influenced by essentialism of the westphilosophy. Following with the compiling emerging in large numbers, the model of narration about ancient Chinese literature is becoming more and more harder. The model ofnarration about ancient Chinese literature includes two aspects about macroscopic and microcosmic. How to break through the essentialism of the west philosophy is important for instructing our ancient Chinese literatures model.
