Abstract: Besides many impressive characters, AN～TMaTOB also creates a world full of a number of vivid and passionate animals. Those intelligent animals are as important asother characters and play important roles in the authors novels to reflect the human society. This thesis intends to analyze the roles the animals play in AN～TMaTOBs novelsto expound his ecological thoughts from an ecological ethics point of view, and goes even further to point out that human beings, animals and nature have been interrelated fromthe very beginning of the world; animals, as passionate as man himself, are his brothers and entitled to enjoy his care and respect. Mans kindness to all living things is thefoundation to ensure a harmonious ecology and is also crucial to the healthy and harmonious evolvement in the whole eco-system.
