On Yuan Zhen's A Story of Yingying from the View of Feminist Criticism

  • 摘要: 从女权主义视角重读元稹的《莺莺传》将会发现,元稹为了替作者自寓的张生辩护,刻意将纯洁而痴情的崔莺莺诬蔑为不妖其身,必妖于人的妖孽,并不遗余力地把始乱终弃的张生塑造为忍情的君子。从审美层面看,这样的叙事策略极大地损害了作品的思想价值和艺术价值;而从功利层面看,《莺莺传》却是男性作家利用话语霸权在两性交往及个人仕途中谋取私利的典型文本。

     

    Abstract: Rereading Yuan zhens A Story of Yingying from the view of feminist criticism, we will find Yuan Zhen slandered Cui Yingying as a evildoer and shaped Zhang Jun-rui as a self-control gentleman painstakingly in order to defend his inconstant in love, and all of these harm the ideological value and artistic value of A Story of Yingying. But that also shows a male writer can try to obtain profit for himself through the hegemonic discourse.
