Abstract: In order to meet the need of innovative and entrepreneurial talents for building an innovative country, since 2001, basing on school-running characteristicsof local agricultural colleges and following talent training program, Yunnan Agricultural University has been improving curriculum system, practicingteaching system, management system, safeguard and incentive measures, integrating innovative and entrepreneurial education into the whole process of talent training, and establishing innovative and entrepreneurial talent training system for college students gradually In practice, innovative and entrepreneurial awareness, innovative and enterprising sprit and ability of employment and starting business of the students have been enhanced remarkably- Social practical activities conducted by the university have been commended jointly by Central Communist Youth League, Ministry of Education and so on for 17 consecutiveyears; the university has been named as Excellent Unit of Responsibility Assessment on Achieving Employment Objective of University Graduates in Yunnan for 7 consecutive years, was selected as one of the 50 top units with typical experience in promoting employment of university graduates in 2011, and was awarded Advanced Unit of Promoting Employment Work by the State Council- Establishment and practice of innovative and entrepreneurial talent trainingsystem of Yunnan University sets a solid foundation for promoting innovative and entrepreneurial talent training further, sets a successful example forinnovative and entrepreneurial education of local agricultural colleges and gives helpful reference of establishing innovative and entrepreneurial educationsystem complying with present talent training target to agricultural colleges.
