Abstract: Students' residence in university isan important place to strengthen students ideological and political education, and it is an important part to improve the scientific management of theuniversity. Against the new changes and new problems for students' accommodation and thought after the logistic reform, Kunming university of science andtechnology implement the party organizations into the residence as carrier, and the counselors team into the residence as media, and the culturalconstruction as platform，as a result, it greatly enhanced the relevance and effectiveness of ideological and political education, and improved the scientific level of ideological and political education.
