Abstract: Sugar cane is important economic crops grown in manyhot areas in Yunnan. Healthy and stable development of sugar cane industry is directly related to economic and social development,rural prosperity andpolitical stability. But with the economic and social development, the promotion of a wide variety of crops grow continuously. In the context of limited landresources, grain crops and economic crops fight to fight field phenomenon is becoming serious，appropriate plow land is becoming tighter, the developmentof industrial scale is difficult. Therefore, this article is based on field investigation of Yunnan sugarcane area, and analyzes the economic benefits ofsugarcane and competitive crops, then draws the appropriate conclusions and policy proposals.
