Abstract: This article discusses therole and significance of agricultural digital library construction, analyzes and describes the goals and content of the Yunnan agricultural digital libraryconstruction from the reality of the southwest. Based the platform for highpowered network, Yunnan agricultural digital library should be developed fromthe following aspects：(1) Accelerate the construction of agricultural literature resources and consolidate the basis of agricultural information resources；(2) Accelerate the localization of literature resources and construct agricultural database brand with Yunnan characteristic agriculture；(3) ConstructYunnan agricultural digital library and build a platform for agricultural information resources；(4) Establish agricultural science base (informationservices site) and enhance extension services of agricultural digital libraries and further deepen the information service of agricultural science andtechnology. Furthermore，on the basis above, this paper discusses the problem and strategy on the development of agricultural digital library in our countryespecially in southwest China, and proposes that the service of information integration based on mobile digital library in Yunnan is the direction for futureagricultural science and technology information service.
