Abstract: Self-study exam of higher education inChina is one of the basic systems, during the special historical period, self-study exam played due education function. Under the new situation of adulteducation rapid development and average college enrollment expansion, the self-study exam also faces great challenges. In recent years, along with theconstant change of the social requirement for talents, the problems of the school-running modes in self-study exam have been highlighted: talent trainingstereotyped, training mode simplification and dogma of management institution, which limit reform and development of self-study exam. This paper considers that we build the diversification development of training modes, such as lifelong education crossroad, the cohesion about the secondary skills and advancedvocation, the link between vocational skills and self-study exam, the joint of enterprise and profession, the public examination for the countryside, whichwill exert selfstudy exam better to promote economic and social development.
