Abstract: With the rapid development of the rural economics, life garbage pollution became increasingly serious. As we do not pay enough attention to this problem over a long period of time, at present there is no effective management and treatment for the life garbage in rural area. The paper bases on the traditional study, combines adopting the questionnaire and site visit methods to make a thorough investigation and study against the solution for the rural garbage problem in Jiuxiang, Yunnan province. During the survey, we find the current status of garbage is unoptimistic. There are many problems such as the characteristic of the garbage formation, serious refuse pollution, weak environmental awareness by the local villagers. By this research, we think about the problems people need to face caused by the current status of rural garbage and also the countermeasure we should take. At last we proposed the investigative plans to the necessity and feasibility of garbage sorting and also the planning, collection, transportation and management of the garbage treatment equipment. Trying to establish a way of government leading, social investment, market allocation and industrialization management to reduce the waste of transportation cost, recoverable resources and land resources to the largest extent. Finally the rural life garbage will be treated in a nearby, environmental, economic and efficient way.
