Abstract: China is the birthplace of tea and has a long history oftea drinking. The tea culture is the important component of Chinese traditional outstanding culture. On the bases of literature research，this paperdiscusses the content and meaning of national tea drinking, and from the roles of tea playing in economy, society and culture, this paper mentions that wecan link up the meaning of tea drinking with personal development, also we can combine the essence of Chinese tea culture with current harmonious societybuilding, so that we can advocate the entire society to form the good atmosphere of liking the tea, understanding the tea and drinking tea.
