Abstract: Based on the investigation of cut flowers resourcesindustry in Dounan from Kunming city，the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Dounan's cut flower industry are analyzed by SWOT analyticmethod. The development strategy of flower industry is made out by analysis of SWOT matrix. The strategic recommendations should be as follows: adjustindustrial structure, improve technology content, reform management system as leading roles，develop special cut flowers resources as well as tourist market,construct multifaceted information system to cope exotic competition environment.
