Abstract: Shadow puppetry has a long history in China,Shadow puppetry of Hua county is the headstream of Chinese shadow puppetry, which contains profound cultural foundation as well as the unique style of crafttraditions. It has its own inimitable fastidiousness and intention in the process of facture such as leather manufacture, carving, staining and binding. Butit also appears a characteristic of higher degree of experimentalization with relatively deficient of quantitative analysis. Industrial production of Huacounty's shadow puppetry is a great approach to protect and to inherit the precious cultural heritage, but actually causes it to lose the original charm. Tostudy the traditional manufacture flow and the characteristic of Hua county's shadow puppetry through the method of interview, field investigation andliterature analysis, helpful to protect, to inherit and to develop the diverse national culture inheritance.
