Abstract: According to the international and domestic theory and evaluation system, this paper constructs two level and 37 indicator systems; uses the principal components analytic method to analyze 8 prefecture-level cities’comprehensive competitiveness in Yunnan province, and some conclusions are summarized: comprehensive competitiveness of 8 prefecturelevel cities is still relatively backward, polarization is serious, and the cities owning abundant economic strength and good industrial base rank the top, the cities basing on the mining, agriculture, and tourism rank the low; some policy suggestions are got out.
