Abstract: Villagers’ selfgovernment is an effective form of rural grassroot democracy, and its development is connected with the construction of the village regulation. Through empirical research methods and statistical methods, this article will analyze the current state of village regulation and the implementation effect in villagers’ selfgovernment basing on the questionnaire and investigated data. The study founds that the effective implementation of the village regulation had an important role in promoting villagers’ selfgovernment. On this basis, this article will put forward some countermeasures about the effective implementation of the village regulation to promote villagers’ selfgovernment along the orbit of the rule of law.
