Abstract: Based on studies which were already made on the two versions of English translation from Chinese Song Ci poetry,Slow, Slow Tune by Li Qingzhao, the article makes comparisons with micro perspectives from aperture, sonorant to that of syntactic structures, form, meaning, and consistency in order to avoid subjective comments. It puts phonology and translation criteria into consideration to evaluate differences in the two versions to illustrate factors that affect quality of translation.
