Abstract: The maternal design art of Guizhou miao embroidery reflects the philosophy, ideological, culture and esthetic, etc. Taking the maternal design related with historic legend and animal, this paper presents the cultural connotation and esthetic characters of miao minority in the aspects of modeling, content, color, composition, style, which expresses specific culture connotation and esthetic taste of miao family members, it is significant for explore distinctive art form of miao embroidery deeply.
