Abstract:
Selective courses has enriched the system of English, while there are still some problems existing during the process of implementation. Beginning with probing into the significance of offering selective courses and the rational of selective courses, the paper discusses the current situation of selective courses′ conduction from the aspects of the college, the teacher and the student respectively. It proposes several suggestions for the teachers as learning theoretical knowledge, carrying out plentiful activities, pursuing flexible classroom teaching and evaluation, aiming to promote the quality of teaching and deepening the reform of college English.
