Abstract: These days，poverty becomes one of the major obstacles to social development.In our country，poverty has also seriously prevented the process of constructing a harmonious society from going forward,especially in the areas of ethnic groups in Yunnan Province.Therefore, the poverty is needed with great urgency in Our country. After the rural reform, there have been a continuing downward trend of the incidence of poverty in rural China, hundreds of millions of poor population get rid of poverty. We have seen a number of achievements, but in the western region of China，s ethnic minorities, rural poverty is still at the stage yet to be resolved. Through the research by the Pumi,Lanping County in Yunnan Province, This article presents the reality of Pumi farmers to facing poverty, as well as offers a few comments.
