Abstract: The small ethnic minorities are important components of the big family of many nationalities in China. Meanwhile, they are also special groups among them. The slow growth of economy of these small ethnic minorities not only disturbs the process to build harmonious and well-off society, but also affects the stability of the frontiers and the whole society. Therefore, it is urgent to improve their conditions of economic development and accelerate the pace of economic growth. This article, taking the Drung nationality as the case, based on the investigation, describes and analyzes the status of economic development and existing problems, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.
