Abstract: Monograph on literature of history of the former han dynasty is the earliest and comprehensive catalog books in china. It has inheritted the thoughts of Liu Xiang，s outline index and Liu Xi，s  seven tactics（the books classification and the category forewords） at the same time,so it has very important status in the Chinese bibliography history. It is of literal values in many aspects,including research on the academics situations of Han Dynasty,testifying the spreading，existence and perishment of books, conparing the theories, and verifying the resourcese, chapters of editions, which indicates the toughts: distinguishing chapter academy, examing the mirror source and course.This article involves to these contents.
