Abstract: With China's entry into WTO and successful bidding for 2008 Olympics in Beijing,more and more Chinese have been involving in English learning,. Nevertheless, how to realize effective communication in our work and study has been a hot topic. Language learners tend to accept and use English idioms which come from the lives of people. In the west, there are a large number of vivid and brief English idoms on animals that contain profound cultural background, feflecting the history, the life style and the value of different peoples.
