Abstract: The wide and frequent use of “then” has been a new phenomenon in the verbal communication of modern language. The paper tries to analyze the reflection of the expansive use of the word, its main causes, and the positive function and negative function in speaking . From this, the paper tries to analyze the relations between the changes of language and socical activities.
