Abstract: The first round of undergraduate education evaluation is coming to an end in China. The evaluation has had positive and obvious effect on the development of Chinese university. However, due to the fact that it is the first time that we applied the evaluation system to the complicated higher education system against an underdeveloped economic background, there is room of improvement in the undergraduate education evaluation system and its application. By analyzing the problems we have encountered and summing up experience in the first round of evaluation, it will help to ameliorate the evaluation system and eventually contribute significantly to effective development of university.
