Abstract:
Based on the problems concerning excessive skill-based language courses, inadequate content-based courses, English graduates'narrow range of knowledge and their inadequate development of general qualities, an analytical survey into the present situation of the curriculum of some agricultural universities.The students'evaluation of the curriculum and their needs analysis for the curriculum was made, and a reform proposal concering the English majors of Agricultural Universities was raised to develop students language skill, to improve studentscomprehensive competence through an integration of content teaching and skill training among English majors in their first two undergraduate years and more relevant courses for practical use in the third and forth year.
