Abstract: Modernity is a synthesis concept，involving economic, politic, culture and society.20th century Chinese modernity thoughts origin should be back to the Qing dynasty. LIANG Qi-chao's thought has shown its unique and irreplaceable significance. The thought of modernity spacetime dimensions of “young Chinese” embodies the concept of time ahead；the thought of “xinmin”demonstrates the grand conception of modern country. LIANG Qi-chao's modernity thoughts enlightens us to think about some problems, including the relationship between tradition and modernity, reflections on modernity, moderation and whether the ideal can be practical. Therefore, the study of LIANG Qi-chao's enlightenment thought is important in researching Chinese modernity thoughts.
