Abstract: The paper introduces newly development of world fishery and aquatic production, consumption and trade, calculates 153 countries( regions) export market shares and RCA indexes of fishery and aquatic products during the period of 2003 and 2008, and reveals regional features of those market shares and RCA indexes. It also analyzes global and local spatial dependence of world fishery and aquatic products comparative advantages by applying spatial econometrics methods. It finds that spatial dependence of world fishery and aquatic products comparative advantages does exist but seems to be unstable. Policy recommendations on how to improve China's fishery and aquatic products Comparative Advantages are provided at the end.
