Abstract:
The thesis involves the research of juxtaposition in NonEnglish majors’ English writing. The result shows the inappropriate juxtaposition modes include, literal translation,misuse of part of speech, misuse of synonyms, misuse of verb transitivity, the disorder of words order, omission and addition. Among the inappropriate lexical juxtaposition forms, literal translation represents the most errors. The thesis is also devoted to the discussion on the causes of the lexical juxtaposition errors with the typical examples and the corresponding countermeasures to the lexical juxtaposition errors.
