Abstract:
Scholars consciously assume the responsibility of disseminating the social ideology of Confucianism, whereas monks assume the accomplishment of transcending life as their personal responsibility. In the tradition of the confluent of the 3 religions, there is no strict segregation in purpose between the intrinsic cultural structure of the “scholars” and the “monks”,and they often have mutually harmonious implications. As such, in the dissertation, it is only possible to abstract the “common bearing” in the conceptual meaning, each is placed in the “ru” or scholastic and “shi” or monastic system to analyze their highest level pursuit, concluding that the scholastic poems place emphasis on social ethics while the monastic poems place importance in the liberation from cultural structure limitations and strive for the origin of life.
