Abstract: In studying Liang Qichao's historical thoughts on general history compiling, this paper intends to grasp the differences reflected in object selecting, that is, to discuss, from a particular historical epistemological perspective, the distinct roles played by both the historical and historiographic subjectivity, and to a certain extent, this paper tries to sort out Liang's propositions on general history compiling.
