Abstract: Because of respecting for the natural life, the Dai people believe in animism, their dependence on forest generates plant worship; yearning for animal power generates totem worship; the respecting for nature generates landscape worship. The worship and their way of life reflect the ecology awareness of protecting environment and living harmony with nature. Therefore, it is important to protect biodiversity and sustainable development through exploring the modern values of ecological consciousness of primitive and simplicity of Dai people
