Abstract: The paper demonstrates the character reading by the communication theory of interaction,involvement,and identification.It holds that the character reading includes election,involvement and transformation.The readers ought to select the suitable literary canons which conform to their personal tastes and preferences.After the readers are captured by the literary text,it will inspire the readers' life and aesthetic experience fully,as well as the knowledge reserve,stir up the reading expectation positively.By the character reading,the reader will live in the virtual world of literature text,forget the real world which they are existing in and lose their identity temporarily,and dissolve in the character of the literary classic,imagine themselves as the character,own their emotion and thought,and travel spiritually in the poetry world together.
