Abstract: The Swine industry in Yunnan has strong development potential. This paper analyzes the current development situation from the production capacity, industry scale, pig-grain rate, the market price of the key indicators, and it finds that there are four main problems. First, the degree of the scale of development of the pig industry in Yunnan is not high. Second, Public service is weak. Third, the information of swine industrial chain can not circulate freely. Fourth, practitioners is low education. On this basis, it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions. It includes of promoting the scale development, developing the plateau of porcine, improving swine industrial chain, establishing the risk control mechanism and improving the quality of farmers.
