Abstract:
Since April 1,1910, the formal running of Yunnan-Vietnam Railway shortened the distance between Yunnan Province and the outside world, and facilitated the communication of commodities and people, and pushed the trade of import and export in Yunnan Province. The historical materials confirmed that a large number of local and special rural products originating in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, for instance opium, fur, bristles, crude drugs, tea, tung oil, salted pig thigh, and etc, were sold to eastern and central China and international markets through the railway in times of Republic of China.
