Abstract: It brings a good opportunity for the development of Yunnan agricultural higher vocational education because of Bridgehead Strategy, China-ASEAN Free Trade Strategy, Development Strategy of Plateau Specialty Agriculture, and Implementation of Talent Strategy. Faced with these opportunities and combined with the basic situation of Yunnan Province, we made recommendations accordingly by thinking essential attribute of Yunnan agricultural higher vocational education, school orientation, quality evaluation, and problems on educational function. This will help to deepen the theory of agricultural higher vocational education and promote the healthy development of agriculture in Yunnan higher vocational education.
