Abstract:
The primary trend in the development of higher education around the world is towards greater and greater globalization. This globalization has become an important developmental concept and characteristic of modern universities. Research statistics indicate that to date higher education in Yunnan Province is not attractive or competitive, mostly due to academic programs which lag behind the times and have low academic quality. This is especially true for foundational courses as well as the cutting-edge and up-and-coming sciences where Yunnan's higher education lags behind developed countries or even more developed areas within China. Therefore, in order to address the existing problems within the international services provided by higher education, conceptual research has focused on: ensuring quality, staffing faculty, academic administrative services, and the establishment of academic majors and intercultural communication based thinking. Countermeasures are proposed for the development of globalization within Yunnan's higher education.
