Abstract: This paper explores how to use regional culture in urban road greening by taking the Rewi Avenue in Shandan for example. It refines the geographical and cultural elements in Shandan, such as Hanming Great Wall and divides Rewi Avenue into four partitions, including history and culture section, commercial and Leisure section, residential section, commerce and office section according to its surroundings, then expresses culture by the means of image reproduction, conceptual analysis, artistic conception building, symbolic metaphor, etc. The design makes the greening styles unified as a whole, highlights the culture theme in each segment. It aims to provide some theoretical and technical support for the urban road greening construction in the future.
