Abstract:
The global competency development of engineering university students has attracted much attention in our country. By applying short-term exchanges, joint training, overseas internship, international conferences and competitions, international organization internships and other projects, it may expand students’ international horizons, help students master international cutting-edge professional knowledge, improve capabilities of international engineering management and technical, exercise on the international stage, and cultivate capabilities of global governance. The analysis of the practice of excellent engineering university students’ global competency training reveals the following: a diversified global competency training pattern has been formed; there is no regional difference in the cultivation of students’ global competence among universities, but universities at different levels have differences, and the ability of students’ global competency is positively related to the level of university; at present, students benefit from different training programs.
