Abstract: Through questionnaire survey and interviews with female village cadres coming from 101 villages in Yunnan province. The results show that female village cadres have good political quality, strong sense of service and good mass base. But there have some drawbacks, such as education level and comprehensive ability are still low. The ability of administration according to law and market economy are weak, lack of innovation spirit and ability to respond to emergencies and other issues. Based on these reasons, put forward some suggestions on how to choose cadres, improve the system construction, improve the education and the rural information construction.
