    Abstract: Education is an important cornerstone for national rejuvenation and social progress. The theoretical system of Mao Zedong’ s educational thought is formed on the basis of the combination of Marxist educational theory and the reality of China’ s revolution and construction. It has rich connotations. Among them, the proletarian education view, the all-round education thought and the thought of combining education with productive labor have left a valuable wealth for the history of Chinese education and provided useful guidance for the development of educational reform in our country. Based on the new era, an in-depth analysis of the contemporary value of Mao Zedong’ s educational thought and an exploration of the practical path of Mao Zedong’ s educational thought can provide a profound ideological basis for the cultivation of socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, art and labor in the new era of our country, and for accelerating the modernization of education and building a powerful nation in education.
