Abstract: The spirit of Yunnan Agricultural University has distinct characteristics of virtue, cultivation and practice. Academician ZHU Youyong inherits the fine tradition of the spirit in his study and work, and further expounds and sublimates the spirit of agricultural university in the new era. Starting from the typical case of ZHU Youyong, we will integrate the spirit represented by ZHU Youyong into the teaching of Ideological and political courses, and integrate it with the work of Party building. At the same time, we will actively cultivate and build a rich carrier to carry forward the spirit,it will have an important enlightening significance for the cultivation and practice of the university spirit of agricultural colleges in the contemporary era.
