Abstract: General Secretary Xi Jinping ’s reply to the secretary and expert of the national agriculture-related colleges and universities indicates where the agriculture-related universities are heading. He emphasizes China ’s modernization is inseparable from agricultural and rural modernization, and the key of which lies in talents and technology, at the same time, he defined that agriculture-related colleges are responsible for the important admissions of fostering qualified agricultural talents in the new era. General Secretary Xi also demands that agriculture-related colleges should insure the food security; improve the living standards of hundreds of millions of farmers; accelerate the system management of mountains, rivers, forest, farmlands, lake and grass; win the battle against poverty; promote the overall revitalization of rural areas, and he has also made important arrangements from the aspects of material foundation, life security, ideological guide, ecological orientation, target guidance, technological innovation and talent protection, so as to indicate the direction of agriculture-related colleges and universities.
