Abstract:
In order to explore the influence of high-value bride price on farmers’land use behavior, this paper takes Jiaocun Town, Ning County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province as a research area. The binary logistic regression model was used to measure the impact of high-value bride price on rural land use behavior. The research shows that the peasants’ideology of land has a great impact on farmers’land use behavior in the context of different family economic sources and rural high-value brides. The two concepts that the bridegroom is too high to hinder the single young wife (
X17) and that the land is the survival guarantee (
X10) have a positive impact on the land use behavior of the peasants. The main source of income of the family (
X3) and the amount of household land contract (
X9), the three variables of relying on land output to pay high-value bride price (
X14) have a negative impact on farmers’land use behavior. In the context of high-value bride price, farmers relying on land output is far from enough to pay high bride price. Grassroots governments and villagers’organizations should strengthen education guidance for farmers, understand the actual needs of farmers, and help them understand the economic benefits of land and take Measures to reduce the amount of the bride price.
