Abstract:
Under the strategy of the rural revitalization strategy, the functions of agricultural universities have not been rewritten, but are endorsed new contents and requirements for development. By adopting qualitative research design, this study selected three typical agricultural universities as the research sites and conducted 12 semi-structured interviews with the teachers engaged in management/teaching/research. Conclusions are drawn out of Nvivo analysis. The agricultural universities face opportunities in four aspects of function development. Agricultural universities should arrange value and ideological education into pedagogical system in order to construct students' positive career identity, enhance first-class disciplines and research to become a booster of rural revitalization, strive to create the "decent" agricultural campus atmosphere and cultivate talents with ethics, feelings, knowledge and ability who are willing to devote themselves to the agricultural-related careers.
