Abstract: Innovative talents in agronomy play an important role in promoting economic development in agriculture. Starting from the connotations of competition in the training of innovative talents, this paper systematically introduces the specific process of carrying out the skills competition of agronomy specialty, and discusses the integration of Agronomy undergraduate professional skills competition into innovative talents training from the integration of competition contents into undergraduate innovative talents training scheme, the realization of diversification of competition subjects, and the formation of standardized long-term operation mechanism. Suggestions for raising the quality of training are provided to improve the quality of innovative talents.
