Abstract: The new farmers are a new type of people emerging in the rural areas, and have become the forerunners of the structural reform of the agricultural supply side and the living forces of agricultural and rural reform and development. At present, the research on new farmers in China is mainly reflected in the concept and connotation, the causes, main features, constraints, development countermeasures, etc. Meanwhile, there are some problems such as unclear definition of new farmers, insufficient in-depth and comprehensive research, and single research methods. In the future, it will pay more attention to the research of new farmer theory and development trend, and constantly broaden the research perspective and content, and enrich diversified research methods.
