Abstract: Leisure agriculture has become one of the major projects for constructing rural industrial systems in China's Rural Vitalization Strategic Plan as it can advance a deep integration of rural industries. The quality improvement, efficiency increase, and optimization of leisure agriculture are the major developments for the future. Leisure agriculture in Yunnan Province has reached a considerable scale and level after a rapid development of five years. However, issues arose in the process of developing leisure agriculture in Yunnan, for example, lack of sustainable support and developmental momentum, imperfect infrastructure, lack of creativity and innovation, low economic returns, outdated marketing and branding management, and so forth. The identical business mode of intensive, quality-focused development is an effective approach to breaking through the development bottlenecks of leisure agriculture and ensuring a healthy, sustainable growth in Yunnan. This article suggests a number of measures and strategies for promoting the multi-function, multi-business modes, high economic returns, and high quality development of leisure agriculture in Yunnan.
