Abstract: In this paper, interviews and field observation methods were used to investigate the surrounding small hotel occupants in the M, N villages of the north side of Kunming college and the A, B, C, D colleges of Chenggong college in the south of Kunming. After a year of interviews, observation and analysis, the main conclusions are:(1) colleges around the small hotel occupancy group is mainly college students, aged 20~24 years; (2) because of love to stay in a small hotel. This phenomenon is likely to bring students physical and mental health problems, also to bring great challenges to the management of students in colleges, it need to put effective management way to solve the problem.
